Playing Guitar Hero on your Xbox 360 can be a lot of fun. But it’s even more fun when you can rock out on a real guitar. Here’s how to connect your Guitar Hero guitar to your Xbox 360.

Gather the Necessary Equipment

You’ll need the Guitar Hero game for Xbox 360, the guitar controller, and the wireless dongle. You’ll also need a few AA batteries to power the controller. All of these should have come with the game.

Connect the Dongle to the Console

The wireless dongle is the device that allows your guitar controller to communicate with your Xbox 360. To connect it, take the dongle and plug it into one of the USB ports on the back of your console.

Turn on the Guitar Controller

When you turn on the guitar controller, a series of lights will flash on the neck of the guitar. This is letting you know that it’s ready to be synced with the dongle.

Sync the Guitar Controller and the Dongle

Press the sync button on the back of the dongle and then press the “sync” button located on the bottom of the guitar. The lights on the neck of the guitar should then turn solid, indicating that it’s now connected to your console.

Start Playing

You can now start playing Guitar Hero on your Xbox 360. You can use the guitar controller to play the game just like you would with a regular controller. Have fun shredding your way to rock star status!

Tips

  • If the lights on the neck of the guitar don’t turn solid when you try to sync it to the dongle, try pressing the sync button on the dongle again.
  • If the guitar controller still won’t sync, make sure the batteries are inserted correctly and that they aren’t dead.
  • If the problem persists, try connecting the dongle to a different USB port on the back of your console.

With a few simple steps, you can easily connect your Guitar Hero guitar to your Xbox 360. Now you’re ready to rock out with your favorite songs!
