Playing Guitar Hero on your Xbox 360 can be a lot of fun. But it’s even more fun when you can rock out on a real guitar. Here’s how to connect your Guitar Hero guitar to your Xbox 360.
Gather the Necessary Equipment
You’ll need the Guitar Hero game for Xbox 360, the guitar controller, and the wireless dongle. You’ll also need a few AA batteries to power the controller. All of these should have come with the game.
Connect the Dongle to the Console
The wireless dongle is the device that allows your guitar controller to communicate with your Xbox 360. To connect it, take the dongle and plug it into one of the USB ports on the back of your console.
Turn on the Guitar Controller
When you turn on the guitar controller, a series of lights will flash on the neck of the guitar. This is letting you know that it’s ready to be synced with the dongle.
Sync the Guitar Controller and the Dongle

- If the lights on the neck of the guitar don’t turn solid when you try to sync it to the dongle, try pressing the sync button on the dongle again.
